Hi everyone,

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer EB.

My odometer, RPM, fuel level, battery level, etc. is not working. At the same time it said Fuel Level Error, but the message center still working and the Overhead console too. The lights on the panel are working. Any ideas what can be wrong ? I've chech the fuses, and it doesnt seem to be that. I've check all of them.

Thanks for helping.

F, since all the gauges have failed, I'd suspect that the plug-in is loose from the gauge cluster. This happens all the time with Jeeps, but is not so common with Explorers. I'd remove the cluster and check the plug.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think it had something to do with the fact that I'm playing with my radio wires on the front dash and remove the message console to see wires ?

is it in the same place ?

Thanks for responding.

Yes, if the gauges went out after you moved the radio wires. Most underdash wires are tied together in a 'loom', and pulling on one wire can tug at others. You might be able to reach under the dash and push on the wire looms, and move them around a bit, and see if that gets the gauges to working again. If not, you'll have to remove the cluster and take a look at where it plugs into the main harness.

Good luck,
ROE
