OEM H.I.D bulb replacement

Hello all I am new to the forum and have been searching the threads vigorously. I have a 12 X Limited, it is about time to go and replace the OEM H.I.D's. Bulbs are still good but they are starting to color shift. I ordered a set if 5k bulbs , but cannot find any solid info on how to replace them. Do I need to remove the bumper or will taking the front grill off work to get the job done.Any help would be awesome.

There are many members here with OEM HID headlamps and this is the first post regarding 'Colour shift'. The Owner's Guide says to see the dealer for OEM HID replacements. There are several members here who have installed HID in a Halogen housing and I believe all work was done from the back of the headlamp assembly.
I wasn't aware of this issue even existing but found an interesting little article on it;
