pretty much nothing cool in maryland, there is green ridge state forest but even for a stock 4x4 it's not that challenging. there are some good mud holes sometimes. i think i want to organize a stock/ semi stock event there sometime though. great if you want to use your 4 wheel drive but don't want to break anything.

Welcome, We usually do a trip or two to the George Washington National Forest in Virginia every year. Not a lot going on in winter.

I had a great time offroading my old 4runner in maryland back in 97-98. I lived down in the southern end of the state, and there were lots of trails near mechanicsville.

I don't really remember. to be honest, I just drove around until I saw dirt roads off the highway, and then explored them!

^^ and if u didnt get shot back then , now you'd probably be arrested! Those trails are sites of luxuary homes now!,, but seriously is there a decent place in md?? I've heard of frederick md has some trails that take you out to the mtns , and can be done in a stocker,

Fredneck County has plenty of trails but none are public. And if you take the "wrong" trail you will be shot near Camp David or Site R. I would not suggest you try wheeling in Frederick County unless you have a friend here with alot of property.
