ok i have no idea what to do...

so i read on the forums that if your gas pedal sticks to clean your butterfly.... done... works great. but now my mountie runs like ****e. i used MAF sensor cleaner cause i figured it was safe since you can use it to clean the MAF. was that a bad idea?? do you think maybe i got some junk in an injector? it feels like when its at idle it is missing.... guhhhh. like i said it runs but like ****e... help please

Welcome to this forum! It might run like this until the chemical gets completely flushed out or evaporates.

well i hope thats all it is.... thanks for the welcome.

btw.... aerostars are the man!! my family had 2 when i was growing up. spark plugs are a bear. and they sound like vaccuum cleaners. and they are like big loaves of bread going down the highway.... other than that i loved em.

I'm just the contentious @ss that going to ask you why in the world this man gave you advice and YOU come back with ^^ that? Welcome!

I realize your logic on the MAF sensor cleaner, but there is a product that is "Carb cleaner/TB Cleaner". Now I am not sure of any differences if any at all but I figured I would post just incase you weren't aware of that...

If you were cleaning the throttle body, you were nowhere near either a fuel injector or the MAF sensor.

The rough idle can be a sticking IAC letting it idle a little low, leaky lower intake manifold gaskets, or a simple tune-up could solve it. (plugs and wires) Without running a thorough diagnostic scan, a little miss at idle is nothing to worry about.
