"Oh S#!t" Handle screws?

The passenger side handle over the door is loose on my 2001 Mounty... I popped the screw-covers off, but the screws/bolts holding it on don't actaully appear to be screws or bolts, but some round Klingon fastner? Anyone? Anyone? How do I tighten them up?

On my Ex they are a 3/32 or some other incredibly small hex head. I'm surprised that I don't have that size memorized since I retighten/remount them so much. I really need to find something to replace them with that will actually stay in the ceiling when used.
