2000 XLT
We just bought a 2000 XLT to tow behind our motor home (we travel full time). We used to own a '95 XLT, and it seemed to me that the 2000 is significantly quicker than our '95 was.

I see that we have the SOHC V-6 in this one. The owner's manual shows that the SOHC is a 9.7:1 engine, as opposed to the 9.0:1 OHC model, but has no other explanation of the difference.

So what's the difference between the OHC and SOHC engines?

Thanks.

oh and you mean OHV and SOHC...
(Over-Head Valve, and Single Over-Head Camshaft)

Ah ha!

I see. I misread "OHV" for "OHC". That explains it.

Thanks.
