oil filter problem

have a 91 with a 4.0 that upon starting pukes oil from the oil filter.if i dont shut it down within 10 seconds or less it will completly drain the crankcase.i have changed brands of filters but that does'nt help.what gives?

Also check to make sure that there is not an old O-ring stuck up on the housing from the previous filter.
