Oil life percentage on console computer

Who follows the "Oil Life" percentage on their console computer? Mine says 54% and i have had the oil in there for 3 months and 4,250 miles. SHuld i run it till it says a change is recommended? Will it hurt to do that? or should i just do 6,000 mile changes? (I run full synthetic all the time and it is the 5.0L)

I ignore mine. I change every 3-4K. I think the comp is set for something like 7500. I just reset it when it goes off and forget it.

Travis, I set mine at 80%, that's 5000 miles. The computer is based on 7,500-mile interval.

I change my oil at 3,000 miles, so the reminder is at 60%. This keeps it from setting off the chime until I've actually passed the 3,000 miles. So 7,500 miles X 60% = 4,500 miles, then there is the early warning chime that bugs me, so 60% works great!
