oil new mac intake?

should i oil the filter like i had to do with my k&n? if so, should i use the same kit i had with my k&n? i also emailed mac about the missing hole for the brether line, i guess it's called that. i think it should be connected.

If it is a similar cotton filter then it should be serviced the same, any filter recharge kit should work. Be careful not to overoil it.
