my 96 explorer sat for over a month without so much as being started, and when I did start the truck the oil pressure guage would not move. my first thought was to check the oil, which read fine but looked as though it may need to be changed so i did. after completing the oil change i started the engine and it didnt move at first but after a minute the guage moved to the midway point. I walked away from the truck and by the time that i returned (3 minutes maybe) the guage had dropped out again. Any ideas what may be causing this?
