OK any of the East Coasters....

Unfortunately, I won't be around the 25th. I'll keep my eyes posted on the East Coast stuff down the road. Thanks for the heads up John. I've been busy as heck lately, but I have been meaning to get into the info on the East Coast Explorers. I'll keep my eyes open!

Well I'm back online

I don't have the damn virus anymore lol ....

Ok this is it so far...

I sent in the $125 for the deposit.... Remember if you are going to have passengers in your vehicle...it is an extra $5.... this isn't my rule but theirs....... Jeff has already sent me his $55.... I would prefer to send them the rest at least 1 1/2 weeks before our trip...you can email me for my info if need be....

Sorry So Late

Hey All,,,

Sorry for being so late, but I think a cruise to Bermuda would be excusable.....Anyway...Seems like things are coming together nicely and much thanks go out to Karol for all the time and effort.
O.K....now for the bad news.. I was recently reminded of a certain 60th anniversary party for my grandparents that weekend so, with a frown, I most likely won't be able to attend the festivities. I sure am going to try though. I realize Karol needs to know those who are for sure to go so if I'm going to be too late I will understand.

P.S.--- The Fall is right around the corner for another trip if all goes well.

Thanks to all

That's ok oahrens

You will be missed.... it's really not that much of a problem if you can make it....just simply bring your truck and payment with you... it's just that in order for our club to be a seriously recognized organization for an event at Paragon we need to at least have 85% of our payment in. If someone sends me their $$ and they are unable to make it, it is not problem sending your cash back to you....

Karol

ok

As soon as I get the packet from Paragon I will be mailing out the forms...

If it arrives too late I will just bring them with me...

there is a waiver form for both Paragon and ECX as well as an emergency contact form and an itinerary

this is who i have going so far..

Jeff- wife?
Karol-2 kids maybe a couple of friends in my Bronco

lizardtrac-guest
monkeyboy-2 guests? (or is it one?)

Keith- girlfriend

I have been scouring the other boards for anyone else who wants to join in.... maybe we can extend the invitation to the Ranger sites too...

any objections?
Karol

just a suggestion

how bout settin up a paypal account to send the money to u for the trip? as this might be easier for everyone....

ok I'll look into the

paypal thing....
'
Karol

what the heck

from what this says....I can't do the paypal thing this is part of the Terms of Use I read

Credit Card Receiving Limit. Personal Accounts are limited to receiving $100 per month of credit card payments. Payments funded from the sender's checking account or existing PayPal account balance will not count against the recipient's limit. Payments funded wholly or partially by a credit card are classified as credit card payments in the PayPal system.

Do I need to do something else I dont want a Premeire account

Karol

sorry I haven't posted in a while....

I still haven't gotten a final word from anyone. I'm definitely going unless I have some mechanical troubles or something, which I doubt will happen. [knock on wood] I'll let you know as soon as I know. Thanks for being patient.

OK, one more question..... what about the camping arrangments, whos doing what and are there reservations needed to stay there? prices? is it a group thing or not?

Tow Hooks/Points and Camping

I needed both front and rear tow points the last time out. Make sure you have both before heading up to Paragon, it is not all that easy to turn around sometimes. There have been times when we pulled the 91 Ex out of a hole (or it pulled me) by taking the strap around the front frame, and this tends to relocate/twist the bumper upward, and definately messes up the (former) plastic air dam under the bumper.

I finally got around to installing a tow hook on the front frame, and it was not a quick bolt-on. Needed some drilling and reinforcement.

The local camp ground is Red Ridge. $10 per night per person if I remember right if I remember right.

""Directions To Red Ridge lake Campground

The the place we will stay is the Red Ridge Lake Campground ((570) 384-4760 for reservations).
In Pennsylvania, to Red Ridge Lake Campground
Take Interstate 81 to Exit 40
924 SOUTH (west side of Rt 81, away from Hazleton) approx 6? miles (maybe more!)
Make RIGHT at sign for ONEIDA/NUREMBERG.
Make LEFT at STOP sign. Pass Texaco station, pass THE COVE housing development
Make LEFT onto MILLERS ROAD. 3 miles and a couple turns. Watch for signs!! ""

I was going

to start making camping reservations when I have everyone down as definite...... I was going to reserve space for as many trucks that are going to be there... if you would like I can

1. reserve it now under East Coast Explorer Club and you can call in on your own (when you know you are definitly coming)

2. or I can wait and do it all at once.....

lets have a show of hands please

MetJeep - Are you bringing your Explorer on this trip too??? good point....I hae a winch in front and tow hooks in the rear.... if any o you need them ..they are cheap ...local pep boys or auto store item.... if you need help ....come early to the campground and we all will help ya put em on

Karol

I guess whatever is easiest and most convenient for you..... im in no matter what... just need a place to crash for the night... im in for camping, but just a thought.. if we wait too long will it be possible that there wont be enough room for all of us????

Well I guess anything is possible

But it is a big campground.... I will call tomorrow to see if i could at least get 5 sites.... what I will need to find out however...is if there is a charge if someone can't make it......

Karol

Everyone read please

Hey Karol,

Although I won't be making this trip, if you need the money to solidify our recognition as a group I will be more than happy to contribute to the cause.

BTW--- Good possibility of making a Sunday trip...Is anyone staying for Sunday?

P.S.===I am installing a Gibson cat-back and Warrior shackles lift. Should I go with replacement springs or blocks up front?

Thanks to all....

Well

I wish I could make it for Sunday but i have to work Sunday night.... maybe the others will still be there...

No.... don't send any $$ for something you can't go to.... don't mind me....I just get obsessive about getting things done early and finally.... lol

If anyone is still not sure about going by August 17th then I will contact Paragon and ask them if we can just pay as we as we arrive.....

I just don't want to have to do it like 20 mins before the run.....

Bringing the Ex.

Looks like we will be a two vehicle family that weekend. The Jeep and the Explorer. Too many people, and too much stuff for a single vehicle.

Well

Will anyone be wheeling with the ex??? aaaaaww they could join us for a while....that would be cool....

Karol

??...'wheeling the Ex...???

Of course, we are 'wheelin the Ex. It is stock with 31" tires but still functions as my primary recovery method down in the Pine Barrens. Send the J*&p in up to the gunwales and then drag it back out. One of these days I will have to take off the Ex.'s skid plate and straighten it back out. This Ex. has seen its share of off-road excursions...which reminds me that I better disconnect the low level air intake before heading out for this trip.

I am guessing that there will be 50/60 other 4wd's out at the campground on Sat. PM, and probably at least 1/2 that Friday PM. Mixed trucks.
