Greetings.
I'm an experienced professional mech. that took a turn to a new career in healthcare through college 25 years ago. I bring something you can't buy. Experience. I was ASE in front end, and brakes up until 2002. I still get myself up to my elbows in grease and love it. Nothing a little orange based cleaner can't handle. That said, I tend only to answer questions that are known by me. I dislike wrong way advice as much as anyone, and I'll never be that person. I am here to gain knowledge, and to share knowledge I am certain of.
My son is in college, has a 2001 Ranger Edge 4 x 2 V6. We just swapped out the tranny for a used one. His budget is extremely tight. It was his first major project, other than the leaf spring brackets 2 yrs ago. It went nicely only cuz good ol' dad has patience to spare.
