I have an old set of tires on a IH Scout. Not shock sizing. The only numbers I can find on the tires are 11-15 So I guess that means a 15" rim and 11" wide!? Where would I found tires that wide within the tire numbering used today. Any clues?

I know this is an IH on an explorer forum, but thought I would try.

you are correct 110-15 is 11 inch on a 15 inch rim ,,

to find a tire to replace it , you need to know how tall it is now,, than convert that to the new system,,

I measured them. They are 10.5 wide and 29 tall

10.5" measured at the sidewall bulge? (not tread width)

265/70R15 is probably what you're after in that case. (about 29½" dia when new, 10¼" wide)

Others near that size that may also work: 235/75R15 (28.8" new dia, 9.25" wide), and a standard-size 30x9.50R15 is typically about 29.8" dia.

Yes the thread width is 10.5. I didnt measure the side

That's a pretty wide tread... (probably 11.5" at the sidewall, depending on the rim's width).

There aren't a lot of tires that wide that are 29" tall, you might have to go with one of the above ones I mentioned (or move to something taller such as a 32x11.50R15).

Do you know how wide the rims are? (15x?")

That don't know. Since the tires are still mounted. The only numbers on the tires is 11-15. They are not the original sizing for it. I know the bolt pattern is the same as a full size Chevy
