Its come time to finally put in my sub into the new Explorer. I'm stuck on one thing though. I have the Amped version of the Thunderform, so it accepts pre-amp and line-level inputs. I had it running on pre-amp(RCA Cables) in my old one with my Kenwood headunit. Its an older one so its really not the best. I noticed alot of interferance with it. When the track would change, or when it would begin to play a CD it could be heard through the sub.
The main reason I put in this head unit was because I had no CD player in it, and I had it on hand, and for free. Now that the new one has a CD player in it. And it does all that the Kenwood does I want to wire it up to the ThunderForm using the line-level inputs. I know the stock radio probably doesn't put out much, neither did the Kenwood. The stock works well, and with a sub it will be fine. So are there any draw backs in wiring it up this way? I Know the quality of the sound won't be top notch, but I can accept that. Thanks guys!
