So the One touch down module on my 93 limited decided to eat it. First I thought it was the switch, because the window would roll down, but would be off and on in rolling back up. Rocking the button back and forth would get it working once in a while. Then about 3 weeks ago, this trick stopped working, Durring this time I was searching the net trying to find some info on this. From what i found everyone was sugesting that it was a problem with the window motor. So i got my hands on one off of ebay for a decent price. Before I started drilling a hole into my inter door panel i plugged the new motor into the harness and tried the buttons. The window would roll down and not up. Queue the necessary cussing. So I start looking for a possable wiring problem, poking my multi tester around and not finding any real problems with the wires. The only thing i was left looking at for a possable cause was this small black box that was just hanging inside the door. I start to tinker with it, and eventualy pop it open. Now i have no idea why the damn thing failed, or why it failed like it did, allowing the window to roll down, but not back up, but this is the problem. While looking at how the board inside ran things, it comes to me that the purpose behind this is to activate a relay, Turns out a regular blade type fuse slips right into the 2 large terminals, and for now, i have a working window. Guess its time to find a module, hope to avoid going to the dealership to get my hands on one.

This was the post that led to my fix.

I had the exact same problem: Drivers window would go up only if I rocked the switch back and forth and then finally nothing. I searched the forums but would have been replacing motors and switches etc. except I used my meter to show it in the module area. I opened the module and sure enough: one solder point was shorted out on the board.

I resoldered and presto my window works great.

Thanks
