My 1994 mazda navajo drivers window quit working today. I took off door panel first thing i did was swap drivers side window switch to the drivers side passenger swich my drivers side switch worked the passengers so I know I have two good switchs on the drivers door. I then disconnected the motor and then ran 12 volt direct to tht motor and the motor works up if i reverse the current the window goes down, I know that the motor is good, I am guessing that there must be a broken hot wire or ground wire that runs to the window switch and then retuns to the window motor, I am not sure on how to check which wire from the window connector to the switch anyone got any advise how to trouble shoot this. I also found the black box one touch module was making a rattling noise I opend the module and found parts were off the circuit board . That explains why the one touch does not work. Could the fact that the one touch is not wroking be the cause of why I am getting no power to the motor. The passengers side window works fine either form the passenger side control or from the drivers side control. The power window circuit breaker in the fuse panel is fine . I know its something simple as a wire . But dont know how to go further ..Also anyone know what the part number would be for the one touch module

yes your kinda right ... the "one touch module" --> has <-- to be connected or the window will not function at all .my module went bad and it will work some times often not ( bad connection on a relay inside the box) ...but messing around with mine the unit has to be connected before the motor will see any power...does not matter if the one touch feature does not work or not the box must be connected before it will operate so , if yours is connected and you got no power at the motor and you said that componets were off on the inside of the module then i say go get a new one from a junk yard if you can .

be carefull tho with the ones you get from a junk yard .....shake them real good if you can to see if you can hear any water sloshing around or better yet see if you can take the cover off to see if any water had been inside the unit as well .

hope this helps out

yep...forgot to mention that the unit controls just the drivers door only ...the module unplugged or not the other windows will still function .

one touch

Well I followed your instructions went to bone yard bought the one touch module came out of a 1994 ford explorer . I opened the case up parts in side looked brand new [ My original one was all corroded and had two parts that jus rotted off the board. I just plugged in the bone yard special cost me 10.00 and WOW I now have a fully funtioning drivers window and the one touch is now working. When it originally stopped working I was still able to opperate the drivers window, I figure that the unit probabl;y had one part off but then when the next part broke off it had to kill my window from working.

I really want to thank eveyone who responded . aside from saving a boatload of money at the local repair shop I am sure ity would of cost me 300.00 . I learned a graet deal about fixing my own car

Thanks again to all

Buddy

Great result! Where is the one touch module physically located? (this Explorer is 1993 but I believe wiring is identical in relevant circuits). Thanks
