I was planning on getting a keyless entry set up in the next couple months but tell then i have to use key. I gave my girlfriend a key so she can get in on the passenger side without waiting for me to go around and unlock my door and press the unlock button.but when she tried her key didnt work..and neither did mine. or my 3rd key..and they all work on the driver side and the ignition. and I went to test on truck lock and found same problem..
thinking maybe while it was sitting on the lot those locks didnt get used much with key and seized?

any ideas or should i just spray some lube in it and try some more?

Spray some lock lube or WD-40 in it, then jiggle the key when trying to turn it. My locks were also frozen when I first bought the Explorer. The previous owner only used the remote, and the locks probably hadn't been turned since it came from the factory. They loosened up after some gentle persuasion.

There's a chance the passenger side door has been changed, but it's doubtful........?

I doubt they did it in 1994, but it is a possibility that it is a valet key.
( Come to think of it, I don't know for sure if Ford ever did this )

Any way, some manufacturers code the valet key to only work on drivers door and ignition.

You first problem is that you should always be going over to her door and unlocking it and letting her in.

My drivers lock has seized too. I was able to free up my passenger lock, but not my drivers lock. This is the failure of the keyless entry systems. I used just about every type of lube and graphite but still haven't been able to get the drivers side done. Now that I think about it, maybe some liquid wrench may be able to free it up.

My problem on my 94 EB was the plastic actuator on the back of the lock (looks kind of like half a lobster claw[sort of, not really]) had broken and jammed into the passenger lock mechanism. I removed teh lock cyl, replaced the piece (from a parts truck) and the lock works fine now. total reapir time, about 1 hour, including taking off the interior panel. total frustration time until i got to fix it, about 4 months!
