I also want to add to what Caleb said, when people openly attack and insult the moderators when they're trying to enforce the rules it creates a very difficult situation. It creates a conflict of interest for all of those involved. You take a clear situation of wrong vs right, simple corrective measures and blow it into a nine foot hole in the wall. Then the moderator who has been layed into can't really do anything about the attack or he becomes "self righteous" or "self serving", "using his moderator priveledges in his own argument" when he hasn't tried to start an argument at all, he's just being a moderator doing his job.
When this happens Rick has to take the time to step in like he did here to be fair, doing the job that he's given to all of us, moderating.
All of it can be avoided by disagreeing with moderators IN PRIVATE. Its fine to disagree, just do it in a PM. If you dont get anywhere, contact Rick. All you're doing by laying into a moderator is making yourself a target for banning and wasting everyone else's time.
