When I grab ahold of my passenger side cv shaft and shake it, it has quite a bit of movement. It also sounds like the part of the cv that connects to the axle creaks when shook. The drivers side shaft moves a little bit but not near as much as the passenger side. Could this be why my car sounds like it is binding up when turning at slow speeds? What advice can I get for changing the cv shafts...any tricks or helpfull hints would be great.

Thanks- Brian

how much is quite a bit of movement... mine has about an 1/8 of an inch of play back and forth from drivers side to passenger side but no up and down movement and my shafts have 133k on them if you get alot of up and down movement its probably the ball bearing in the cv wearing out and you should replace them...
