On my 2000 xlt the sticker on the door is gone, where else can you find the axle ratio and other options the vehicle came with.

Axle ratio can be found on a metal tag hanging on the diff cover (rear).
If you can't figure out the code on the tag yourself, just post it up.

Without that sticker (the Vehicle cert Label), you do not have anywhere to gather all the other info.

Your VIN can only tell you:

1,2,3rd = Designates Ford or Mercury, stripped chassis or Multi=purpose vehicle
4th position = Vehicle Brake Type and GVWR
5,6,7 position = Line, Series, and Body Type
8th position = Engine Code
9th position = Check digit
10th position = Model Year
11th position = Assembly Plant code
rest of them are an alphanumeric code for the vehicle build sequence, vehicle serial number and warranty number.

Thank You I will look there, Thats a shame on another make of vehicle they have the option codes on the console lid or the trunk lid. Can a dealer give you any info on the options with the VIN # other than what you stated?

Maybe. I was never quite that curious.
Write it down and take a ride. Worst thing that could happen would be they say that they can't help you.
Good luck
