Just finally got round to buying a explorer (like the title guys) o/s map and heck theres loads of byways within my local area the longest being in leatherhead which eqauls free offroading,
£8 well spent
all the routes are clearly marked and it even explains which ones are open to all vehicles..blinding

Hi sb yer Ill try sort them out into postcodes for us satnav boys im gonna check em out soon ,theres loads to explore mate we should have a few hours out ,meet at boxhill and rag it up!

Im in central London, not to far away from surrey. Maybe we can meet up? I dont think mine has ever been off road in its life!

Did one of the lanes yesterday and I didnt enjoy it too much was really steep narrow (both mirrors in)and steeply cambered,got loads of scratches down the side and was really close to rolling the car had the land meter to 30 deg omg was close I will check some others soon hopefully be a bit more easy and less damaging,
think the ex enjoyed ruffing it....

how many have you tried out? any known ones in croydon area? im in new addington area mostly where i work n friends there, and they do have lanes there but not sure if there any hidden offroad ones?
 






just the one so far,theres a nice long green lane nr boxhill to check out nr rykers cafe ill keep us southern guys posted

Its the track at the end of downs road my freind it carrys on after the road stops
downs road is 1st left off headly road above zigzag ,it goes on for miles through tyrrels wood ,under the m25,the you can do a left onto another lane at thirty acre barn which brings you out at leatherhead, im free this weekend if you waana try it...ill put some more on the google map !

iv added that one to me sat nav, may go there tommorow, weather says light showers so could make it intresting.
 






work got me out early tomorow dang hope you got AT,s mate still a bit sloshy out
 






well i went there early today and found the gate to be padlocked, maybe its open during the week? but did you squeeze through the gate next to it? well it took me 30min there and back for nothing :(

sorry mate nooo bloody typical I hadnt looked at that one yet....just saw it on the map they shouldnt lock the gates its a public right of way...apparently a lot of this go,s on illegaly...there is access to that byway from leatherhead from nr pebble lane but again I havent tryed it
another one is nr fetcham looks good straight after the end at polesden rd is another lane which hopefully is open ..
