Hi all,
My question is, "How do I determine if my Explorer has Advance Trac or not (Electronic Stability Control)?"
I have a 2002 Explorer 4.6L
Last weekend on the way home from the lake, the wheel bearing on the rear right side packed it in. While checking out what the problem was, I discovered that the spindle threads are completely rusted over; there are no threads left. My idea is to buy a couple of used assemblies of the CV shaft and outer spindle, still attached to the outer hub and bearings. I want the other side as well because the rust obviously caused all this and I want to replace both sides for that reason.
My problem is that while looking for part numbers and cross-reference numbers, it asks whether the Explorer is with Advance Trac, or W/O Advance Trac.
I can't seem to figure it out?!
