I ran the BFG At for a while..Traction was great, but ride was alittle harsh on the highway..

michis are exspensive as sh**. i would go with either bfg or mt. just depends on what type of tire your lookin for. if you want cheapo tires im sure you can get some trashstones cheap.

Michelin does make good tires, but I am a big BFG fan. If you off-road occasionally but drive paved roads a lot, the AT KO's or Longtrails are a great tire. The KO's do have a stiffer ride, but look awesome and I think they have a good price on them. They also wear good for as gnarly as they look for an AT tire. They do hum a bit depending on the pavement you are on, and really can hurl rocks on gravel roads with that loose river rock. But some people like that :) The Longtrails wear awesome and can do pretty good offroad in most all conditions except for deep watery gooey mud. They do ok in snow, the sipes help. You really have to strain to hear them on the highway and they make a nice and smooth ride. The Longtrails are really cheap, I think my dad got his 31's for around 70 a piece. My KO's were 96 a piece I think. I think in general BFG makes great tires for a reasonable price. Some of their high perf. car tires can get pricey, but thats a whole different story there. Bridgestone makes nice tires too.

BFG's are way over rated and over priced. I ran the bfg a/t and swore to myself never to own another set. The traction was horrible.

With regards to Michelin, I never had a problem with it. I'm happy with the performance, and it last long as long as you rotate it as scheduled. It is realiable also. For two times, I pulled out nails that never went through. It just bent. I'm just looking for something else that might be better than Michelin which sounds like it's the best. Maybe I'll replace it with the same brand although AT at this time.
