I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer and all of a sudden the Outside Temperature Display just stopped showing up? Any Ideas?
My Mountaineer is a Premier Edition with the Digital Dual Climate Zones AC.
The temp used to show up on the passanger side of the dual climate read out.

Well if all the other info is still displaying OK in the DATC then I would suspect the ambient temp sensor. It's mounted in front of the radiator just slightly to the right of center.

double check. there are tiny black round buttons right around there. you push those to go back and forth between showing outside temp or inside temp of AC. might of pushed one of those buttons and switched it
i believe the black button says EXT. I THINK. try pushing that and see if it works?

If it was a bad temp sensor, he would probably be getting some type of fault code like 'OC' for open circuit. I know you will see that on the overhead console.
