Overdrive Off light flashing

The Overdrive Off light will flash sometimes while Im driving. This has just started. Is this something I need to worry about and have checked out? As far as i can tell, the Overdrive function worked just fine.

If it happens repeatedly then it's something to check out. If the fluid level and condition are fine, then it may be the torque converter or tranny starting to go.

In addition to lousy gas milage and poor power, it sound like I need to get rid of this peice of **** real quick. And this is supposed to be the number 1 selling SUV? I just dont get it....
