overdrive problem

I have a problem with my overdrive light. It seems to only happen when i have been driving on the highway for a while. It has a steady blink. Does anyone know why this may be. If I can't find out on here I guess that I will have no choice but to go to the ford place. That will cost a lot I think. Anybody who knows I would love to here the suggestions.

Does the tranny make any strange noises or shift out of OD before or during the light coming on??? If not, try resetting your computer by pulling the battery cable for ~30 minutes. See if it returns.

When was the last time you had the tranny flushed/filter changed?????
