Hello too all my girlfriends 06 explorer is having over heating problems first is started with her blowing the heater Assembly hose (the stupid t shaped one) well I replaced that along with the thermostat well I thought that's what would fix it caused ethe car never over heated before that hose blew. Well it still over heats but its a weird over heating. The gage gets too normal running temp and sits there for about five mins before it starts to raise slowly kinda teeters than boom it gets hot. Any ideas its our only car and we need it. Please any input would be great

I replaced it too. Maybe air in the cooling system? I haven't flushes it since putting new hose on

How do I check radiator? A flush? Or pull hoses? And its never done it before until the heaterhose assembly popped off

Prestone sells a cooling system cleaner. Connect a flush tee to the heater core hose, add the cleaner, let the engine run with the heater on, then drain the cooling system, and flush it with a garden hose connected to the flush tee.

Sweet thanks and where is the peacock to drain it?

Well **** went to autozone got the cleaner but wasn't a kit just the cleaner bought a tee flush tho. On the cleaner says just add too resivor?

It's better to pour it directly into the radiator than the reservoir. They make two versions of the cleaner. One is a regular cleaner for general maintenance, and the other is stronger for removing dirt, debris, and rust.
