I need to know how to get spraypaint overspray off of my X. My wife was spraying somthing in the garage and now my explorer has a thin coating of spray paint on it. You cant really even see it but you can feel it. I have washed it twice with a high pressure sprayer and I can't get it off. What can I do without hurting the paint job????

I believe using a clay bar will remove overspray. Head to Autozone or something and look for something called a clay bar system, it should come with a clay bar and lubricant. Then wax the truck after that

Some builing painter fools left paint flecks on my X while it was at a repair shop, so the repair shop got it cut-polished at a detail shop, and it removed the flecks easily.

Another vote for the claybar. I have removed overspray from mine with it and it works great. If you're heading to Autozone, pick up the blue Clay Magic bar.

Same here. Use the claybar. Remember to give it a good wax job afterwards.

buffing will give you a better overall finish when you are done. Swirl marks, fine scratches, etc.... gone. But clay bar will work also. Basicly Clay bar= cheap, easy, good. Buff=not cheap, not real easy, but better final result. 1 step further would be a wet sand/ buff. that will give you a finish that looks brand new but I wouldn't recomend doing it yourself if you haven't done that kinda thing before.
