Upon working on my car over the weekend (normal maintenance), I noticed that my oxygen sensor is the original...that O2 sensor has gone 117K miles! So, figuring that the oxygen sensor has probably outlived its life, I purchased a new *High Performance* Bosch;) . Anyway, so I brought over the Oxygen sensor with a couple of wrenches and liquid wrench, just in case it was corroded on. I pulled...and I pulled...and I pulled and cussed! That thing was not coming off!!! Maybe I'm a weakling, so I invited my dad and brother whom all gave it a swing-nothing. I would ask my neighbor but he was too busy laughing at us  .
How can I take this stupid thing off????? There isn't much room in there so space is a major concern. Have any of you guys had this problem?
Thanks
Greg

Those things can be a bear. Sometimes you have to heat them up with a torch to remove them.

Let the truck run for a few minutes so the pipe gets hot, then try removing it. But, BE CAREFUL! Don't burn yourself.

Sounds like fun  . Kidding, that probably is the way to take it off. I did only try it when it was cold. I'll give it a try, thanks!

The "Ford" OEM O2 sensors are Bosch O2 sensors.

O2S are tough to remove, and hard to reach, and if the pipe is hot that adds to the fun. You may have to get one of those special sockets, and use a BIG breaker bar to get enough leverage on it. Like Brad said you might have to heat it up a little.
