So, my 2003 sport, 4.0 L SOHC V6 has started misbehaving. She decided to give me the check engine light. In the last 2000 miles she got a new fuel pump. One the way down the interstate the check engine light came on, and ensuing rough running. Had a flashing light for a time, then stopped. For the last two weeks, she starts rough and the misfire was only intermittent. Now, the misfire is a constant. I have new Motorcraft wires and Autolite double platinum plugs on the way. I am not convinced this will solve it as it started as intermittent and has just recently been a constant. What else do I need to look for? This is the first Ford I have owned in ages. I am used to working on GM and Toyotas, I can solve a misfire in those easy. Not so easy in this Ford. Thanks for reading.
