Just wanted to thank the people who provide helpful input to the website. I had a CEL on for weeks and I tried all kind of things to no avail. I went to Auto Zone and had them pull a code check and came up with P0401, which supposedly indicates insufficient flow to EGR valve. I did a search on Explorer site and found that problem was a bad DPFE sensor. I changed the sensor out and the CEL is history. The change out took approx. 10 minutes at best. I got the part from Auto Zone at a cost of $53.99 vs Ford dealer ship at $85.
