Which everyone knows is the egr valve or accessories. I have the exhaust donut sound so am I to assume the egr tube is cracked? It didn't happen until tonight so I didn't get a chance to look yet.

I just bought the vehicle, 97 explorer 5.0, and she had sat for a while so I was thinking maybe the egr valve itself had stuck, but that would't give you the exhaust leak sound would it?

Another question. When you go to get parts can you get the egr valve, 5/8ths egr tube and the two smaller lines to the sensor in a kit or do you have to buy them seperately. And just out of curiosity, what do they all cost?

After reading the Sticky at the top of this page regarding 97-01 5.0's, I have a question.

Is there more than one setup and egr valve for a 97 with a 5.0? My egr tube is not where the one in the picture is located. To be honest, everything is so congested that I can't find one.

I also would like to join the site, but when I tried it said to pay with paypal and I didn't see any other options. Is it possible to just pay with a credit card or check as I don't have a paypal account?
