P0442 every 200-400 miles

I get the P0442 every 200-400miles. Could an autozone aftermarket gas cap cause this? Cracked EGR hose?

This CEL is very annoying.

Ok, this confirms my belief that the autozone cap is crap. I'll have to order a new OEM cap from RockAuto.

The autozone gas cap is extremely flimsy and doesnt really have the nice seals that the OEM cap has, it has a very ****ty o-ring.

Everytime the CEL comes on and I check the gas cap it just doesn't feel tight at all, almost like it loosens itself as I drive.

If the gas cap doesn't fix it i'm gonna have my mechanic take a look at it; I gotta bring it in for u-joint replacement anyway.
