I was going 85 km/h on a highway in my 2006 Explorer 4.0 when suddenly the check engine light and the yellow wrench
light came on.
Simultaneously the RPM dropped and while I was moving to the side of the road, the engine completely shut off and I lost my brakes and the steering wheel locked.
Thankfully I managed to stop using the parking brake.
I then tried to start the engine and it started fine, no problems at all.
Plugged in the OBDII scanner and got these 3 codes:
P0446 - EVAP System Vent Control Circuit
P2107 - Throttle Actuator 'A' Control Module Processor
P2110 - Throttle Actuator 'A' Control System - Forced Limited RPM.
I then drove home without any problems.
Any idea what could be the issue and how to solve it? How is the EVAP code related to the other codes?
As I saw in some videos, I inspected the wiring from the PCM to the throttle body but no visible damage.
I'm attaching the freeze frame data below if someone could get any clue from it.
