P0455 - Gas cap wasn't put on tight.

How do I get the check engine light off?
Advance Auto wouldn't turn it off for me after the scan and discovery of the lose cap.

Are you sure the filler neck isn't cracked? Very very common from constant weather changes expanding and contracting the plastic, and can prevent the light from turning off. When I replaced mine, the light self-corrected.

Disconnect the battery for about ten minutes. I can reset my CEL in about ten seconds, but 10 minutes is recommended from what I have read.
