Hi all. Newbie here.
My daughter has a 98 Explorer Sport, 4.0 SOHC.
The CEL came on. I got frustrated trying to figure it out, so we took it a local shop that I've been happy with in the past and trust. They came back and said it was a cracked upper intake manifold and wanted $500 to repair it. I ordered a manifold from rockauto for 120$ and replaced it last night. I then cleared the code and hoped for the best.
Today the CEL come back on and is showing 1405(DPFE) and 1151(02 sensor Bank 2 Sensor 1).
I have a hard time believing the DPFE sensor or hoses would throw both codes and hate to just keep throwing parts(and money) at it.
Has anyone else run across this combination of codes and seen a fix for it?
