PA, truck show

Hey guys there is going to be a truck show in York, Pa In August the tentative date as of now is the 25-28 i believe and the event is sponsored by Budweiser. last year there were many awesome trucks and even most of the more popular moster trucks made runs on the course. The show is rather small but i figured we could get some exs to come out and maybe draw more people . if anyone is interested let me know I cna get the registration stuff and update the info here as i get it. also there were numerous contests last year including a burnout competition where the winner got some new baja claws. Just a fun weekend to get out and talk trucks with some friends and even bring out the family. I look forward to hearing from some of you later thanks guys.

I think I can squeeze that into my schedule for this summer.... I was at a show in York last year but it was all Jeeps... dont know if thats the same place or not.

haha we have 2 shows for that particular reason one is just jeeps and the other is all trucks even though a few jeeps always show up.

How far is York from Pittsburgh? My girls family lives close to Pitt, so if it's not too bad I might be able to make it.

its mad far from pittburg, york is much closer to VA beach then pittsburg

haha its only 3 hours from pittsburgh. I love the penguins so i go to pittsburgh alot and you can take the turnpike the whole way until you get to I 83 then you go south and youll hit york in like 15 min.

I just drove the turnpike this past weekend from Gettysburg(30 miles west of York) to Belle Vernon(30 miles south of P-burgh). I made it in about 4 hours and that was considering the construction on the turnpike.

haha thats at 75 on cruise but I did forget about the construction. So I guess four hours if penndot is in a working mood haha.

I went to York College of PA, so I might be interested to go up there and mess around my ol stomping grounds a bit.
A specific date will also give me a reason to stop procrastinating on fixing up the X.

More info is on the way final dates are being chosen and i should know the exact dates on july 10. After that anyone interested in entering can post in this thread and i cna get the entry forms out. I think there will be some good prizes this year last year they gave away a set of Baja Claws. Ill keep everyone posted thanks guys.

Ok well I went in today to see what is involved in registration for the show and now they dont know what they are doing they may jsut have a monster truck show and no regular trucks. AAAAGGGHHHHH! I mean come on its only a month away i wish they would make up their minds. Ill try to update soon unless i go totally crazy.

Holy lord! I can make it to philly in 5 hours and I'm about 45mins east of Pittsburgh.

Well the guys in charge of putting the show together have finally decided not to have a whole truck show like they did last year. this year they decided to only have the monster truck show. there will not be a show for us to take trucks to now. they said that they finalized it this way due to lack of attendance last year which by the way was 50 trucks which i dont think is bad for a small towns first attempt at a truck show but obviously my two cents dont matter to the people with the money. so im sorry to say that no one has to attend and I am really sad that this couldnt go through i was even prepping my ex for the show by buying a new intake and some stereo stuff. so sorry guys but maybe we can all get together sometime and have an explorer show hahahaha. if anyone else know of any other shows in Pa let me know i would be happy to attend. and thanks to those of you who wanted to come i made sure to let it be known that i had almost ten explorers ready to come.
