I want to put on the Pacesetter TFX exhaust system but they don't make it for the 2 door. Has anyone put Pacesetters on their X? Has anyone modded the system to fit the 2 door?

I'd call them & make sure it's still made. Why the app says 91-92 makes no sense since 91-94 is the same application.

from what i have read on the forums here any headers arnt worth it enless u have a few internal engine mods to warrant the price of the headers ud gain next to nothing

that said only diff from 2 and 4 door is pipe after the cats is longer ud just need to trim off how ever many inchs on a striaght run of pipe after the muffler lets say to make it correct
all parts are the same from the engine head down to last cat on our first gen 4.0

I'm not really looking for the headers. I just want the cat-back system. I can't weld, so I'd need to get a case of beer to pay a friend to put any system in. I think I'm going to buy the exhaust for the 4 door and Modify it to fix the 2 door. Anyone got any advice on this? Anyone in Ga want to give me a hand? I'LL BUY THE BEER!

While the picture sure looks nice, in my experience, pacesetter makes the lowest, worst, most horrible quality exhaust on the planet. I also think it will be an extremely tight fit to get a dual out into the space over the rear axle, and I imagine the rear pipe will constantly clang againt the sway bar endlink.

My suggestion would be to get a Dynomax catback instead. They make a kit just for the 91-92 Sport that bolts right on, 2 1/4" with a Super Turbo or Ultra Flo muffler. Get it at a parts store like Advance, and bolt it all on yourself, no welding required.

The 2 door exhausts are supposed to be the same as the 4 door with just a shorter pipe from the cat to the muffler, but I tried shortening the pipe on a 4 door exhaust to fit my sport before and it sure didn't fit at all. Fit a 4 door just fine. There also seems to be slight differences in the exhaust for a 91-92 and a 93-94, so be sure whichever exhaust you choose, it's for a 91-92, less hassle.

Thanks for the advice, I took a look and the space is pretty tight for dual output. It's possible but it will rub. Plus I've been trying to figure out how to weld the inside of the dual output... I would probably end up with a leak so this is a wasted effort. I didn't know that about pacesetter. I almost expected that from the look of the price. But why dynomax? What about flowmaster or gibson?

I have the Dinomax super turbo muffler. Its really inexpensive for the whole cat back kit and I noticed some positive performance gains. I also like the sound, its not as loud as a flowmaster but has a deep distinctive tone tone. Makes the V6 sound good.

i have the gibson on my 95 v6 and it sounds great i paid 230 for the 2.5" cat back side exit
