Paint Problems Anyone?

Hi, I'm pretty new around here, and lm finally glad I found people into explorers as much as I am. I love my 97 neer, but the paint is absolutely horrid. It's checked, oxidized, and practically just dissappearing around the hood line. Given the truck is black but has been garaged. is this normal or am I just "lucky"? Thanks!

Paint jobs and rusty bodies are just the "luck" of the draw. Recycling sometimes leaves impurities in the metal that fester up after a while. Paint is tough, dark colors are acted on more by the sun, could be a drunken Monday morning painter. With all the newer paint products it's easier to do touchups, maybe it's time for a custom hood. OR mayber Chip Foose.

I considered it; its the only thing besides the wheels that I havent modded. just moved, so gotta get to know some good shops by the sounds of things. haha, let me rob a bank first. CF paintjob would be amazing.
