I painted some parts under the hood to try and dress up my engine a little bit. When I got thru I realized it did not look as good as I thought it would. It is on some of the metal brackets and various metal parts in the engine. Is there a way to remove the paint without hurting my engine?

It depends on the desired result.
Removing these pieces and spraing them with a stripping spray will yield the best results

Just pour a little brake fluid on it, and it will eat the paint off :D, hehe. But really, if it is just brackets and such, just unbolt them, strip them, prime, and paint.
