I am thinking about painting my outside mirrors amd the black triangle by the mirrors. What type of paint is best for this type of plastic and how many coats of primer, paint and clear coat would you guys recommend? Also has anyone painted the moldings along the outline of the windows the color of their truck? Not the whole molding, just the thick black trim? I am thinking about this too as it would eliminate some of the black. Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated...:D

i will be having my side mirror's/steel part of the molding's painted to match some time within the year..so when i do i will get pic's

I've heard that a steel wool will help get the roughness out of the mirror. That is what my painter told me.;)

Which one are you looking to put on? Will it be functional or just for looks? Bolted on or Molded in?

I would smooth my cowl out but then you have issues with the defroster/AC.
