Painting Superlift Knuckles?

So, after inventorying my stuff, and taking a look at things, it appears that the new knuckles are "unfinished".

Is this something people normally paint, or do you leave it as-is? Is there any benefit (other than appearance when the wheel is off) to painting? Is there any downside?

It can't hurt to paint them. Just don't get any paint on machined surfaces or inside holes.

You don't need to paint them though. As far as I know, the factory knuckles were not finished either.
