painting wheel wells and such

hey guyz i just lifted my X 4 " and its a little messed up in the wheel wells... id like to paint it black but would do u guyz recommend i use regular spray paint or like truck bed liner paint?

prep it if you can otherwise whatever you use will peel off very quiclky... the wheel wells are more prone to abrasive damage and debris than any other part of the car.....

i would use bedliner like material, more durable.... or several coats of flat black something... it will look wierd super shiney and glossy and the sheen wont last very long......
 






Both types work well. There's not much prepping that needs to be done. I just roughed it up with a wire brush, sprayed it off with the air compressor, and painted. I used flat black Rustoleum and sticks like crazy. Hardly any prepping and it looks just like it did a month ago.
 












your front wheelwells are plastic.
I am unsure of the compatibility of that flexable of a plastic and the bed liner..
 






The rear wheelwells are metal. That's probably what he's talking about.
 






He could be talking about all four.
