Is anyone interested in joining me and a few friends of playing around Berdoo Canyon Road and watching the Palm Springs fireworks from a mining camp in the lower Joshua Tree N.P.? Bring the lawn chairs!

Hey Ken,

Sounds interesting, I'll try and make it.

Cool Joe! As for a meeting place and time, I'd like to go for 1 p.m. in order that we can all eat lunch before the fun begins. In terms of a place to meet, let's go for Snow Creek Road just off the 111 (Heading into the city of Palm Springs) just 1 mile south of the I-10.
There's supposed to be a rock garden there, and I'd like to see how my truck does going over the rocks!:D
With the rear locker, I'm sure your Explorer will do well out there as well...

Hey Ken, sorry bro I will have to pass on this one as we have already made plans for that weekend. If you can reach DB_1 I am sure he will show you the way out to the rock garden. Have a fun and safe July 4th weekend.

I'm wanting to visit Key's View in Joshua Tree for the 4th of July fireworks. This is definitely on the agenda for the evening. From this location, you can see 4 fireworks displays across the Coachella Valley simultaneously!

We'll hit the trail at around 3 p.m. because it is so hot out there. Also, we'll be changing the meeting place - meeting up at Desert Dan's place in Palm Springs before kicking up some dirt. If interested, just call me tomorrow on my cell phone, and I can clarify where and when we'll meet up. My wife Suzanne wants to shop at the Cabazon outlets, so, I'll be preoccupied before the run...

How was the run/show Ken? I wished I could have made it.

...well, let's see... First, we pulled off the hwy at the Cabazon Outlet Center to shop for dresses and miniskirts for some clubbing in Las Vegas on 7/11-7/12. We hit Calvin Klein, DKNY, Bennetton, Max Studio, Armani Exchange, Barney's (New York), Kenneth Cole, Guess, etc. I sat outside the shops w/Frida (our Chihuahua) while Suzanne searched, and searched, and searched. You know the deal... When we finished up, we stopped by Desert Dan's and then watched fireworks in downtown Palm Springs. It was an afternoon filled with extreme trails, rocks, adventure, and hardcore challenges...

All too familiar a scenario.
