Paper Towel + Transmission Fluid = bad?

I just changed out my radiator, and I had no dowel to plug the lines for the transmission fluid so I used a chunk of paper towel. Well, I forgot to take out the chunk of paper towel before reconnecting everything, and now there is a chunk of paper towel somewhere in the transmission or in the lines somewhere. Is it possible that this could cause very bad things?

Thank you!!

Both will be sent it to the pan filter, or clog the cooler on the way to pan,

I think...

Good Luck

I haven't driven it yet, just run it for ~ 20 min to check for leaks and such. Do you think it would be worth it to yank the pan and check for bit of the towel? I have already recovered one 1/4" section of it when I had to disconnect everything to add new seals. It's a 96 V8 btw.

It would be worth the time to find the pieces and settle your mind, IMO, Plus now you get to change the filter and fluid in the pan.

So there is a filter in the tranny too? Also, I have heard that flushing the tranny was a hard job to do alone. Is this true?

NOT hard to flush the tranny. Just read up here. Its been discussed a lot. You will find instructions.

If you can change your radiator, then you can flush your tranny.
