...You just tighten the nut on the long threaded section..
..Have you checked your rear brake assemblies lately?
...Sometimes you need to pull the drums and you may have a cable that slipped inside the drum and you can't get the parking brake cable to adjust anymore..
The reason i am wanting to adjust it is because i had to replace the front cable because the wire inside the housing got pinched inside. but the the new cable is shorter so i need about another 1/2 inch to get it all set, i don't know what tool is need for the threaded part in order for it to not move when i try to loosen the nut.
...You just need a wrench on the nut and turn it counter clockwise to loosen it...To tighten you turn the nut on the threaded rod clockwise..
..It looks more complicated than it really is..It only gets complicated when you take the items in the above picture apart and try to re-install them from memory..
I think the issue might be that the threaded part is turning with the nut? I wonder if you got a ratcheting gear wrench on the nut, and then threaded 2 more nuts on the end, jam them, and use them to hold it in place. Just thinking out loud.
