Part ID help?

I bought this truck a few months ago, and have no idea what this is. It was just hanging there by a zip-tie. The connector would occasionally disconnect so I secured it up out of the way and used a little electrical tape to keep it connected. I tried looking up the part # to no avail.

Any ideas?

I have seem similar looking devices on Mustangs and I believe they are calle charcoal canister purge solenoid's or something of that nature. Dont know if thats what it is but thats all I have even seen that looked like that.

maybe try doing a search with the part number that is almost visible on the side ...
