parts interchange??

hey guys, i was just offered a 97 explorer, bad motor, for a couple hundred bucks. i was wondering if the parts on that will interchange with a 00 model??

Most will, they are both the same generation. It does depend on what you are trying to swap.

i was thinking most things will... mostly what i am going to fool with will be the tranny, and/or sensors, like maf and iac and small stuff like that. maybe a power window motor or two.

That could be a little tricky. I'm not sure what or when things changed. Your best bet is to go to an online parts store and see if both trucks would use the same part if you bought them.
