Ok so I might have buttered up the title for better viewing.
I Swapped xfer case due to the standard bw4405 100k problems.
Its cold and my bones are tired. I had to take the metal 2 piece cover off the cat converter to drop the trans pan. Does this need to go back on? With the cold weather in mich right now I was hoping itd be ok. Also the plastic heat shield that clips to the trans pan. I broke the clips off so now id have to modify it. Is it necessary at least through the winter? The last part is the trans belly pan. Its strictly a public road vehicle. I dont think it adds a lot of structure. I know some thought would be these things are there for a reason. But being basically winter ambiant weather think I can wait?
Also, I got the case from Rockland standard gear out of NY. I have to say Im happy. Shipped seriously in less than a day. Well the tag on the case said capacity 3 qt and they sold me 3 qt. Stock is 2 im pretty sure. And besides the case halve modifications im pretty sure its stock. Well I filled while it was on ramps. After about 1.75 fluid poured out. I'm thinking I probably have a little over 1.5qt in it. How much extra am I going to get filling it on level surface? Should I fill again? I am certain that third quart was just a money maker for them and im over it but a little unsure about having less than 2 qts in it. Its just not that huge of an incline so I figured I'd ask since this forum is packed w experts. Thanks and sorry bout punctuation im on my phone.
