Are there any passenger drop t cases that bolt up to the 5r55e? I ask because I can get a d44 with 4.10 for free, but it's passenger side drop. I want a manual t case anyways.

Ford was always left side drop so it would be tough.

Like SWIGIN said Ford was driver side only, Jeep did both and Chevy was passenger. It would not be worth the cost and all the fab work needed to make it work.

It would be easier to retube and convert the front housing to drivers side than try to equip the explorer with passenger drop.

That's kinda what I figured, was just hoping I could kill 2 birds with one stone.

Technically if you shorten the axle to better fit the width of the truck when you flip the tubes you would be knocking out 2 birds with 1 stone. Then you can reset caster depending on lift ect. This all depends on what d44 you have.
